Lead:

Why Bezalel and Oholiab are role models for you.

Intro:

So, because I’m a Bible geek AND because I try to keep us on a time-driven schedule, I’ve got the word counts for every book and every chapter of the Bible. And I knew that the assigned reading yesterday was too long and I still couldn’t help myself from adding some commentary. It just comes out sometimes.

So…I called an audible and adjusted on the fly. Sorry for that. Today we’ve got the room to catch up.

Early in today’s reading you’re going to hear that mention of a couple dudes, Bezalel and Oholiab, that I mentioned I’d call out yesterday. Before we get rolling, I’ll just mention a line you’ll hear right up front: “I have put wisdom in the heart of every skilled artisan in order to make all that I have commanded you” (Ex 31:6, CSB).

So what’s the big deal? Skill and excellence in our work is a form of wisdom.
