Have you ever thought about the power of unanswered prayer? Stay to the very end of today’s show.
Intro:
Lawgiving, journey, lawgiving, journey, lawgiving, journey. If this makes you go, “Hey, that’s the story of the Israelites after God delivers them from Egypt,” you’d be right. And the first “lawgiving” started back in Exodus 19 with the decalogue — the 10 commandments — and ends in Numbers 10. It’s easy to forget to see, as we talked about yesterday, that all that weird stuff is a covenant of love. But that theme of God wanting what’s best for His people continues, and we’ll talk more about the book of Numbers in our next couple readings, so let’s just get after it!
Happy Friday on my last day on the road this week!
