Lede:
Three years of Bible reading AND a seriously uplifting ending.
Intro:
Multiply 365 by 3 and what do you get? 1095.
Welcome to Bible reading #1095! And the truth is that with extra episodes and things like the Sunday reflections that I don’t number, it’s more than that.
So what have I learned? For one, there’s nothing like being accountable to someone else…like you. I try to get schedule them to go out just after midnight local time so longtime listeners like Sylvia can listen before she gets out of bed.
I’ve also learned how much I enjoy a live audience when I’m speaking professionally…even in a webinar…so the feedback and questions give me a sense of how you’re connecting. This isn’t live, obviously, so thank you to the many of you who’ve reached out with thoughts and questions.
Finally, I’ve learned how powerful it is to have a friend to do this with. I don’t hang out anymore with the person with whom this all started, but that taught me that perhaps above all else in a relationship, there is nothing like pursuing God together.
Today I’m going to do something a little different…in Romans we’ve heard Paul talk about the righteousness of God’s wrath to the Gentiles, Jews, and today the whole world, and I’m going to also knock down chapter 4 which begins him talking about God’s saving righteousness through Jesus.
Then I’m going to close out the week with some Psalms and, with the Holy Spirit’s help, the joy that only He can bring you.
