Lede:
Why stop part of the way through 1 Kings and read Proverbs?
Intro:
You don’t know this, but one of our listening community affects how you are listening to the podcast this year. If you’ve been with me, you know that I’ve evolved the reading plans, and this year we set off on one proposed by listener Linda. So shout out to Linda.
The thing I discovered is that as it attempts to be chronological, often the Psalms used in the Wisdom Segment relate to the other readings. What I didn’t know at the time, and you are about to discover, is another little oddity that makes total sense…that they take a break in first kings to tackle the book of Proverbs.
It’ll make sense when we get there, and then I’ll share how we’ll tackle it going forward.
One thing to remember…if you tell a friend about the podcast, unlike a straight audio Bible, every time is different. I highlight something different going through Romans this time than I did last time. So…whether it’s with me or someone else, my prayer for you is that you’ll make daily spiritual food a part of your recommended daily intake.
