In the last few episodes we looked at responding to evil, but here’s some pastoral temperance to add to that:

  1. Don’t appeal to God’s sovereignty too quickly. It might be true, but timing is important.

  2. Don’t launch into a story about how God used your suffering. That’s more about you than them.

  3. Don’t minimize the sin that caused the suffering. (1)
