Revival happens. Everyone benefits.

Intro:

Revival! It’s today’s word of the day, and we’re beginning with it, because today’s reading is longer and I’m not going to spend much time on the word of the day! The word revival comes from a root meaning “to cause to live.” We usually think about it in terms of some outbreak or growth of Christianity — maybe even sometimes negatively. But when you think about it, even many secular historians and sociologists acknowledge the benefits of Christianity in a culture (even for non-Christians), the idea of life breaking out because God moves and transforms a bunch of people is a lot like bringing life to a culture. So it’s something we should actually be praying for!

That said, let’s get back to the procession of kings and, I trust, you’ll see a revival.
