*** SHOW NOTES (not a transcript) ***

Lead:

If your King (or President?!?!) did this, you’d probably be delighted.

Intro:

Before we roll today, an announcement: You may — or may not— have noticed that I’ve started breaking out stories and other apologetics teaching content. This is so we can keep these Bible-reading segments to a manageable duration. What you need to know is this — some, but not all of that work is getting an accompanying audio recording. So if you subscribe via Apple Podcasts or Breaker or something else, IF you want to at least see what’s happening here, you’ll want to go to the website and subscribe to the daily email.

The crown jewel, so to speak, of God reaffirming that He is in control was what we read yesterday about the Davidic covenant — God’s promise that the future Messiah and world-ruling King would come from David’s lineage.

Today we continue with David’s conquests and begin into the story of his prep for the other theme of Chronicles, the temple.
